Liverpool, UK, Dec 1 2009 – J2 Aircraft Dynamics, the fast growing aeronautics design software and simulation company today have announced a significant advance in the development of a high fidelity simulator, linking validated flight models to an active G-Seat.
This live project, with ‘G' Seat partner EDM UK Ltd, has further demonstrated the capability and flexibility of the J2 Universal Tool-Kit high fidelity simulator module by integrating it into a Pilot-in-the loop simulator with active G-Seat capability. This integration was seamless, with only bespoke interfaces required to communicate directly with active cockpit HOTAS and the seat itself.
The ability to fly any aircraft with a “pilot-in-the loop” in an extremely high fidelity package has created significant training opportunities across a broad range of flight environments and further shows the capability of the J2 Universal Tool-Kit to integrate with existing technology and provide extensive collaboration capabilities across multiple disciplines at any stage in the design lifecycle, from concept to completion.
The integration and development was part of a project request by EDM Ltd who had the idea of developing a high fidelity simulator based around an active G-Seat.
