J2 Aircraft Dynamics includes a team of experienced and highly qualified Aerospace Engineers with a specific industry background in pure Aerospace Engineering and Aircraft Design.  Out passion for the industry and expertise in Aircraft Modeling inspired us to develop the powerful J2 Universal Tool-Kit.

Through this unique software and our consultancy services, J2 Aircraft Dynamics provides value added solutions to enhance the performance and effectiveness of today’s aircraft design engineers. By streamlining processes and maximising analysis capability, these solutions effectively reduce the time to market for aircraft design projects.

The code needed to investigate aircraft handling and performance is built into the J2 Universal Tool-Kit. This means that we are able to ‘fly’ new projects ‘right off the page’, eliminating the need for engineers to write additional solutions before they can start analysis. We have worked on a variety of aircraft products and developmental stages, focusing on the problems encountered when investigating handling and performance characteristics.

Our philosophy is built on partnership. Together, we can ensure that your specific requirements are fulfilled and the end result is the solution you need. J2 acts as an extension of the client’s engineering capabilities through close collaboration and consultancy. In some instances, J2’s involvement has uncovered serious design issues, which would normally not have been discovered until much later in the process.

WHY J2?

When developing the preliminary design for a new product, most of the characteristics are set at an early stage. Yet these typically are not assessed until much later in the project lifecycle, when the price of discovery can result in serious project overruns, potentially costing hundreds of thousands of dollars. Such problems can occur in any company, such as:

  • Lear 23: Laminar separation bubble breakdown led to wing drop on approach, impairing safety of flight
  • Boeing 777: Missed horizontal tail effectiveness led to larger than needed horizontal tail
  • DC-9: Unexpected pitch-up and deep stall of T-tail led to costly redesign

By using the J2 Universal Tool-Kit, our engineers can assess the characteristics and impact of design alterations, with only a minimal amount of information, and ensure that problems are not built into the design. This saves you time and money.
